David Simpson

David is a chartered accountant by profession. He is a Fellow of the Association of the Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados (ICAB). David is a past President (2012-2014) of ICAB, and is a Director and Past President (2021-2023) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Caribbean (ICAC). He has been Conference Chair for the ICAC’s annual Caribbean Conference of Accountants since 2013.
Entrepreneurial by nature
As a professional he has had a keen interest in entrepreneurial culture, financial literacy and business development, and serves as a Consultant to the Ministry of Energy and Business on its financial literacy initiative since 2020.
With over 25 years in accounting, audit and business management, David is Chairman of the Barbados Agency for Micro Enterprise Development (FundAccess), and a Director of the Barbados Entrepreneurship Foundation (BEF) and Chair of its Finance Pillar. He is a former Director of Fortress Fund Managers and the Small Business Association in Barbados.

After years in the corporate world, she transitioned to consulting, offering specialized services to clients locally and regionally.
